Nub Post
The nub is for anyone who wants/needs their seat to be slammed as far as possible.
The seat mast (the area that your seat clamp goes around) must be removed to the bottom of the slot to run this mod on your bike. The bolt in your Pivotal seat will pull the wedge up and tighten everything up eliminating the a seat clamp, seat mast and any shred of dignity you once had. The weight of this seat “post” is next to nothing (50 grams) and once you factor in the weight of steel mast and seat post clamp you have just removed….it actually does weigh….nothing.

It saddens me a wee bit to see such disgusting remarks made about such a Roots Orientated, and Innovative company. All these pathetic little computer twerps spend more time ridiculing the people unaffraid to follow their OWN path, and take risks with diverging, expensive to (develope), perhaps odd looking innovations. In an industry filled with over building, under testing, and rediculous trend exceptence, we are very lucky, especially in North America, to have a home grown BMX legend allow his Product Deloper to have such command, and hold as much control over the direction of the company as he does.
I sincerely hope that Macneil continue to bring out the sweet, much copied parts that they have in the past, and hope they laugh, as I am now , about these childish, cowardly attempts at discouraging Macneil from bringing out this long over due seat, post, and clamp over-haul. It’s very similar to what I’ve done to the Macneil Pivotal that I bought. ($35 4 the post & seat).
And since these Geniouses decided to leave their BRAINS in there early child-hoods, I’d like to explain a couple of things, like
the fact that the shorter your Seat Post AND Seat Tube are, the less leverage there is to cause damage through impact or tensional force.
The lower your seat (And residgual material), the lower your awsome BMX’s centre of gravity is, making a large number of Endlessly fun BMX stunts easier and even funner!
Finally, if you think your gonna exert enough Peal force, with that little custom nut, to ruin a Macneil frame, you must be tightening your Pivotal with a 10 ft Toque Bar on the end of your hex Wrench, or poorly modifying your skillfully hand crafted(Tiawanese) Macneil frame.
I bought and chopped both Miron Seat Tubes, startng in 2001 w/the 1st, with ‘Great Success’-Borat.
And if you do resist over tightenig your Pimpotal, that when/if your seat does impact something, it will merely pivot inside the Seat Tube, dispersing much of the undesired load into Friction, as the seat and post turn in the ‘clamped’ Seat Tube. A simple Bitch Slap or 2 will return it to it’s desired position. Much like what might happen if your ignorant heads were bitch slapped a time or 2.
So Rock On Macneil and all who have helped, but to those who have toungued, cock lipped, rhetoric
