We have received a lot of entries for our t-shirt contest and we thought it would be fun to post all the entries we have so far. Keep sending in designs and if you’ve already sent one, don’t be afraid to send more! Also, we have received a lot of designs with our logos… Fell free to not use them and do your own thing!
Even though the weather’s getting colder in Vancouver, Kym Grosser has been riding a bunch and just sent over this serious photo of a gap he just did at one of the Universities in Vancouver. Kym made the move from Australia to Vancouver this past summer and is pushing though his first Canadian winter. The Brighton Aint’ Ready DVD just came out and Kym has a serious part it in. Make sure to check out that video, because it’s amazing (I’ll do a post about the video soon!).
With a new frame out soon, a kid on the way and a busted shoulder, we thought it would be fun to send over a few questions to Ali to see what his life is like right now.
Ali sent over a bunch of photos from his trip to Cali where he messed up his shoulder. Check out what he had to say about his trip.
So, I went to Cali to go on Fuel TV’s The Daily Habit and hang out and ride some dirt jumps and what ever else Cali has to offer. I spent the first few days in Corona. I rode Nasty’s old jumps that Parslow now runs and I shot some photos with Fudger, so keep an eye out for those! After that I went on Fuel TV which will air Dec 4th. Then the fires started and the winds picked up, so we pinned it 5 hours to Mammoth Mountain to snowboard… First run, I crashed and separated my ac joint… Came back to Corona and chilled the last few days with Murray. We went and watched the new bond movie which is crazy good! Stay strong…
It’s been a while since we’ve put out new T-shirts, but we’re finally going to have some new designs available in early 2009, with even more to follow after that. Harrison’s been working on some good looking stuff. We’re also going to do a web contest to give you guys a chance to design one of the shirts.
The winning designer will have their T-shirt produced as part of the line. As an additional prize the winner will get a box of T-shirts that he or she designed as well as one of the new 2009 MacNeil frames of their choice.
All of the 2009 frames have been completely redesigned and we’ll be posting a preview with photos and information soon.
Bibi just sent over this rad photo of him at the trails. He said it’s been raining a bunch, but they’ve been able to get their smaller line going. Bibi’s new frame is coming and we’ll have photos and info very soon!
While Travis Sexsmith was down in California filming for an up and coming web video he ran into some bike troubles. So he located a shop that stocked MacNeil stuff and I called them. Eric from Elite Bicycles was super cool and saved the day for Travis. He got his bike fixed up and helped him get back to filming in no time.
That might seem like a small thing, but believe me, there are a lot of shops out there who aren’t so willing to help. That’s why I want to thank Elite and Eric for for going out of their way to help us out. Check out how much stuff they have in stock. That’s how every shop should look. Also keep an eye out for Travis’ web video in the near future.
Here’s a few clips of Gary Young riding Dennis Enarson’s new ramps. Nike threw down to build a nice setup in Dennis’s backyard for the 2008 Nike Banksgiving jam. Gary and I headed over to Dennis’s house for a little pre-jam BBQ and I was able to grab a few clips of Gary as well as a few of Dennis. The ramps are amazing and these two can flow the place like no tomorrow.
P.S. The videos page has been updated as well. Check it out!
Ali went to California to ride BMX, snowboard and chill a bit, but had some bad luck snowboarding… “First run down Mammoth Mountain I fell on my head and shoulder snowboarding. Doc says 3rd degree separation of AC and CC joint. It was bound to happen one day. I’ve been heathly for over a 2 years now. I’ll stay strong. Laters”
