It’s Chris’ birthday today. I have no idea how old his is, but regardless, I’m sure he is going to have a good time. If he lives through his party, he said he was going to send us photos from the festivities… So let’s hope for the best, so we can keep getting updates like this.
Chris Martindale just sent over some photos of his tattoo. He got the shading done a week or so ago and is going in for another session real soon… I think Chris is completely nuts, but I’m sure a lot of people are stoked on it… I know Chris is!
Wade has been riding one of the two Bibi samples. Bibi has the purple one you saw the other day and Wade’s been riding the “peacock” one. He’s been super psyched on it and shot a bunch of photos with Tim Okane at the Igloo. Check em all out after the jump!
So, we’ve been hooking up Chris Smith for a while and were thinking of how we could some more stuff with him. Every time he comes into the office, he’s always got the craziest stories, or has some wild plans to do some crazy shit. So, we thought what better way than to exploit his adventures for our website! Chris is now going to be sending us stuff on a regular basis. We gave him no rules or direction, so we are real excited to see what he comes up with!
The first bit of amazingness we got from him is the photo above. It’s a shot of Chris in his Malibu jumping a bank in our parkinglot. To go along with the photo, we got this email that was sent to pissandwich@macneilbmx.com which is not even close to being a real email.

Check out a rad photo spread of Travis Collier in the latest BMX Plus. The photo was taken at the Long Beach Flat Jam on our trip to California last December and it turned out rad, the colors are great and I love the sky! Thanks to Nuno for shooting the magazine for the photo of the day on Defgrip!

Bibi’s been riding one of his frame samples and just sent over some pics. This frame was at interbike and will be out for Spring. There are a bunch of updates from his current frame as well as new colors and graphics. We’ll post all the official spec in a bit, but for now enjoy some purple frame action.
Chris Martindale has been one of my best friends for almost 10 years now. We met riding bikes at the Greenlake jumps in Seattle and since I moved from Seattle to Vancouver a few years ago, he has spent many weekends up here visiting and riding the parks. We have been hooking Chris up with bikes for a bit and while he was in Vancouver visiting last summer we just started to film some random stuff and it ended up turning into an edit for the website. Along with the footage from Vancouver there are a few clips from our trip to California, some stuff I filmed with him in Seattle, and bunch of great stuff with Steve Machuga. And even though it took me a while to put it together I’m super psyched to have a full edit of Chris for the site!

We would like to wish happy birthday to Alistair Whitton who turns 28 today, and to Travis Sexsmith who turned 22 yesterday.
I’m proud to say that Alistair is the longest standing member of the team. He got on just after Interbike of 2000, a week after we got our first prototype frame done.
I’m also proud to say that Travis is now the newest member of the team. Yes we’ve been hooking him for a few years now but as of today he’s officially a member of the pro team.
Travis won’t be the newest team member for long however. Ali and Lindsay are due to have their baby boy Brener anytime now. We’ll let you all know as soon as we have news.
