You’re A Man Now Winner!!!
Congratulations Casey Stein. You’re a man now son!
We sent Casey an email on Friday letting him know that he won the contest. So he gets a to Celebrate his 18th birthday with us and the guys from Joe Mama’s in Ottawa in June. Casey actually won this thing hands down because none of the other riders who qualified had a passport. So there was no big decision to make.
In about a week Casey will receive a plane ticket and food check from us, and a golf bag from Ogio to take his bike in. He’ll stay in the same hotel room as the riders and will be treated as one of the team. Here’s a small interview with Casey asking him about the upcoming trip. We’ll also interview him after the trip to see how he liked it.
1. What were your first thoughts when you realized that your birthday was on the right week?
I read it twice thinking it was a joke!
2. What were your first thoughts when you got the email saying you won?
I got it around 7:30 in the morning when I walked into school. I was confused at first, but then I couldn’t believe it. I was totally speechless.
3. How long have you been riding?
Couple years now, not really too sure on the date. Maybe 2?
4. What’s your favorite type of riding?
I love riding street, but I dig and ride trails a lot too. It’s a bit of a balance.
5. What else are you into besides riding?
I do a lot of video work, and photography. I write, edit, shoot and direct a news show and comedy skit every week for my school. It’s a crap load of work, but I enjoy it.
6. Do you feel like a man now that you’re almost 18?
Hell yeah!
7. Have you ever been to Canada before?
Yeah, my family and I went to Vancouver, Calgary, Banff, Jasper, and all the places in between two summers ago. Canada seems really cool, can’t wait to go back!
8. What does your girlfriend think of you coming up to Canada to party with a bunch of Canadian BMXers?
She thinks its ridiculous. She’s excited for me though! She knows I’ll have fun.

maybe you can fudge his birthday so bouncers think he’s 19 and we can take him to fun bars in Ottawa, if not it’s grimey bars in Hull where the girls are actually 16 and the dudes are 25+
