Even though Chris Silva wasn't able to join us and Greg Henry got hurt, our 'Gene-seeing is Gene-believing' trip down to Rochester, NY was still a blast. The footage collected while we were there will be going toward our 'Any Means Necessary' DVD as well as a couple of other projects but we still wanted to put something together from out time down there. Between Jack Leonard and TM Harley Haskett, we gathered a mix of film and digital, chilling and riding photos and put together a photogallery from the whole trip that you can check out at the link below. Thanks again to everyone in Rochester who hooked things up for us! Launch 'Gene-seeing is Gene-believing' Photogallery.
Our weekend in Rochester wrapped up yesterday and all of us are already missin' the Roc. We had a blast with everyone down there and came away with some rad footage of the dudes. Greg Henry tweaked his ankle a bit on Sunday and had to lay low for the rest of the time but he fired out a bunch of awesome stuff in the first couple days. Both Jack and Chi stacked a bunch of wild stuff including a few NBD's on some Rochester spots. Big thanks to our pal Dave Raffa for putting us up and showing us around and to Tony Hamlin, Dan Coller, Dave Fortman, Ryan Cork, everyone at Blackout for the session and all the other locals who made our stay all the more rad. Check out our Instagram for some photos from the trip and watch out for a photogallery that will be up soon, stay tuned!
This upcoming long weekend, we're swinging down from Toronto to Rochester, NY with a crew including Greg Henry, Jack Leonard, Chijioke Okafo and Chris Silva. From the 18th to the 21st we're gonna be cruising around the area so if you see us out and about, come and say hi! Follow us on Instagram at @macneilbikes and follow the #MACNEILROC hashtag to see what we get up to. Watch out for an edit from the trip in a couple weeks!
As most of the northern hemisphere is starting to, or already have, feeling the chill of the oncoming winter we thought we should re-post our Vancouver Island Getaway video. Back in June a few of the guys on the team packed up in a car with Zach Rampen and headed out to Vancouver island for some exploring, riding, camping, and general summer fun. Give the video another watch with Greg Flag, Sam Lowe, and Taylor Elvy and a gallery of photos on the micro-site we made here shot by Brad Hill.
Jeff and Silva flew out to Vancouver and met up with Taylor Elvy back in August for an Animal Bikes trip. They had a jam at the Chuck Bailey skatepark, cruised some streets, and even hit a swimming hole. Check out this video of their time out there. Sam Lowe even sneaks a clip in too.
Back in July Silva and Dill jumped in a van with the Ten Pack crew and drove from Toronto to Ottawa to Montreal for a weekend or riding and a shop jam (Dillon's riding got cut short from a bad slam). Check out the video from their trip and a gallery of some behind the scenes photos from the road here.
Chris Silva was out on the west coast in and around Vancouver for just under a month. Wherever Chris goes, his camera phone goes too, and you know he'll be taking photos the entire time. Check out another instalment of his photo journal after the jump. Toronto to Vancouver here I go. Barrier session. Bridges scare me. Waited over 10 years to see this place. Didn't even ride it. Lynn Canyon Donkey Kong bridge. Waterfall. Nature boys at Lynn Canyon. The most tourist shot of the trip. Paul Buchanan bottom bracket grind rail from the Terrible One DVD. West coast Bobby. Chijioke Okafo showed up to ruin the trip. Hanging with Ryan Senechal on Vancouver Island. Bank school on the Island. Ferry ride back to Vancouver. Saw this in 2008, waited five years to hit it and found out it was capped a week before I showed up. Fuck! Can lady. Video games in the BMX house. Snake run day. Flat rail school rained out crew. Jeff Evans and Matt Desson. On top of the Ten Pack empire. Moving couches. Filmer Zach Rampen on the clock. Last day. Ten Pack for the goodbyes. Plane back to Toronto.
Dillon and Silva have been on the road for the last few days riding and filming in Ottawa and Montreal. Dillon had some bad luck with an enormous crash on the first day and had to end it early, but he has proven to be indestructible and walked away without any broken bones. Check out some more updates on the Ten Pack Distribution site.
During our Vancouver Island Getaway trip the crew made their way to One Six Bikes & Boards in Victoria, BC to hang out and session their indoor mini setup. Thanks to everyone at One Six for their hospitality! Don't forget to check out the flip book and edit from the rest of the trip here. Audio: Wild Nothing - Chinatown Filmed and edited by Zach Rampen
