I was going through my hard drives when I came across these few clips of Chris and I from the Bellevue Skatepark outside of Seattle… Nothing crazy, but I thought I’d throw them together rather than letting them go to waste. Chris and I filmed eachother and it was one of the first times I shot with my steady cam, so the clips are a bit shaky… The music is ‘Send Me Your Love’ by Onra.
David Lang put together this rad video bike check with one of my old bikes… Check out what David had to say about the bike and the video:
In 2008, Harrison Boyce of Macneil Bikes got creative with Macneil’s 08 orange line and built up a BMX with the crazy bright colour combination of orange and green bike parts: is.gd/itfWw
In 2009 he built up a new bike, but the pumpkin bike still lived on in infamy. Some time that year my BMX was stolen, and in order to make sure I could keep riding and shooting with the Macneil team, Harrison kindly gave me the pumpkin bike.
Since then I’ve made a few modifications (took off pegs, put on freecoaster) and have been riding it gratefully ever since. It’s aired quarters, jumped dirt jumps, hit questionable dorps to flat, gone backwards lots, forwards sometimes. It’s been super fun to ride and the colour combination never fails to turn heads.
Here is the video from our Northwest tour we went on from Vancouver to Portland! Featuring Dillon Lloyd, Greg Flag, Jaumell Campbell, Chris Martinda, Chris Silva, Travis Collier, Harrison Boyce and even Dom Mach has a few clips! The trip was a blast and it was super productive as far as riding goes. We logged so much footage that rather than leaving a bunch of stuff out to post a quick edit, we put together more of a full video section and are bringing it straight to you on the world wide web!
Here’s end edit featuring Anthony Messere, Travis Collier, Lazerdick, me… and even a David Lang appearance. We filmed this a week or so ago at the Railside park in Port Coquitlam… and threw in a few dirt clips from the Lafarge park where we got down on the HUGE jumps out there. haha.
Nick Halsey was in Vancouver last week and Travis Collier, David, Lang, Nick and I all rode around the city a bit. Check out a bunch of photos that David shot… Including a rad shot of David bombing a big railhop!
I just shot some photos of my latest bike. I was running that super bright green and orange Whitton for a long time and was in need of a bike with a lot less color. I went with a 09 Whitton and kept the colors pretty simple. Check out the spec’s and more photos after the jump.
Seventies has been uploading all the sections from Brighton Ain’t Ready. If you follow the blog, you will know that the MacNeil team went to the Brighton house twice last year. Both trips were so amazing and we all had a great time hanging out and filming with the Seventies crew. Above is a mix section that has clips of Nick Halsey, me and Alistair Whitton. This video was definitely my favorite of last year and it will be interesting to see how it does at the NORA Cup Awards this year!
Dillon Lloyd, Travis Collier, Jay and I headed up to Kelowna and Penticton for another leg of the Ten Pack Re-Session tour last weekend. We were only up there for 2 days, but we did so many things, it felt like we were there for a week! Huge thanks to all the locals, Geislinger, Lazerdick, and Al Shatz! The Inferno Jam was rad and we always have the best time up there.
Winter finally passed and the sun has been out in Vancouver for the past few days. Travis Collier and I took advantage of the weather this weekend and went to the park and trails with Chris Young and Terry Carson. Chris snapped a few pics. Check em out with a few iPhone shots after the jump. Stoked for Spring!!
